James Street School - We Love to Learn

                                Making Pinatas

In Rata Room we read a School Journal story called Pinata Day.

It was about a class of children who had all made Pinatas. They looked really cool so we decided we would like to make our own pinatas. This is what we did...First we drew a picture plan in our books to show what our pinata would look like. We made an equipment list and then we started to make our pinatas.

We used different coloured crepe paper, pompoms, googly eyes, black paper, bottle tops, pipe cleaners and lots of glue to decorate our pinatas. Sometimes we had to work with a partner to help hold our pinata as we decorated it.

We think our decorated pinatas are amazing! Take a look at the photos to see our robots, bees, beehive, penguins, crocodile, owls and other pinatas...
